Mentor Scheme Evaluation

A qualitative evaluation of our mentoring scheme for aspiring clinical psychologists from Black, Asian, & Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.

As the mentor scheme has been running since 2019, we recently conducted an evaluation of the scheme with both mentors and mentees to learn about the impact of the programme. Our aim was to better understand what has worked well, what needs to be improved and to establish guidelines for best practice. The findings of these studies will contribute to the ongoing development of our programme and may be of use to other clinical psychology training programmes in the UK who are currently in the process of setting up similar mentoring schemes.
